Roshanara's "slnb"
MUSIC Video Direction

As a creative, I'm allergic to creative stagnation. When the opportunity came to step behind the camera as First Assistant Director for Roshanara's "Sunn Le Na Bewafa," I jumped at the chance to stretch different creative muscles. Sometimes the best way to understand storytelling is to tell stories through an entirely different lens.

As First AD, I became the bridge between creative vision and ground reality. My job went beyond logistical coordination. It was translating the director's artistic intent into actionable moments while keeping an entire crew synchronized in service of a single story.

Pre-production meant location scouting with an eye for narrative potential, crew coordination that felt more like casting the perfect ensemble, and planning that accounted for both creative spontaneity and budget constraints. On set, I was part conductor, part problem-solver, ensuring every department spoke the same visual language while troubleshooting the inevitable curveballs that make indie production both terrifying and exhilarating.

The real magic happened in those micro-moments between “action” and “cut”. When you realize that great storytelling requires both vision and the ability to adapt that vision in real time.
